Therefore when behavioral outbursts or difficult to manage behaviors are the key concern, a family approach is often beneficial. In this approach parents or caregivers attend sessions and are involved in programming. This service option focuses on supporting caregivers and equipping them with effective tools and strategies to:

  • Address target behaviors when they occur

  • Put in place proactive strategies that reduce the likelihood of target behaviors occurring in the first place

  • Help teach the skills needed for the child to be able to engage in an alternative behavior
